Kill Yr. Hi-Fi has been wringing abrasive noise out of innocent electronics since 1996. They debuted their self-titled cassette release on KSPC Radio in Claremont, California - a release which reflected the sound they would stick with for years: analog synths being manipulated in graphically unpleasant and unlistenable ways.
After years of very limited cassette-only recordings, Kill Yr. Hi-Fi has graduated to the digital age with their first release on Chucklehound Records, August. While still comprised solely of analog synthesizer sounds, the album contains heavy digital reworking, giving it a much more polished approached to its designated task of eardrum-rending.
